I've been taking my time posting this review because I wanted to think a lot about what I would write. Not that I don't normally put thought into my posts, but I think a new Mexican restaurant in my hometown, where most of my readers are from, deserves extra time and attention. In March of 2024, Casa Latina opened its doors and I was beyond excited. I was a regular at Taco Pica so I was very much looking forward to this new Mexican place. I was even tickled that it was on the west side because I spent most of my life there and the west side needs more good restaurants. One of the questions that people asked us the most about our trip to Boston was "Did you go to the Cheers Bar?". It is one of the must-see attractions when you are visiting Boston, and what a treat it was to visit on a beautiful summer day. A link to their website can be found here . After visiting the New England Aquarium , we decided to stop somewhere for some tea and coffee. That idea soon changed when we looked at the menu and saw that they had some breakfast nachos! What a great way to start the day! Maybe the greatest? Everything was tender and delicious. The eggs were fluffy and all the toppings were fresh.  Quantity This was sufficient to share as a brunch. Peppers Pub (part of Lemongrass Thai Fare) is located on the boardwalk in Saint John, New Brunswick. I think their competitive advantage is their Thai food. I had many plates of Shrimp Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles at Lemongrass before I got to try the nachos. The Lower Ledge Gastropub is located on 30 Ledges Inn Lane in Doaktown, New Brunswick. It has a beautiful view of the water for diners to enjoy along with some good comfort food. There was no picture to show the lack of distribution in 2024.   Quality I really enjoyed the taste of the cheese. As you can see from the photo, there was only orange cheddar cheese on these nachos. For best nacho results, normally another cheese is blended in like a nice jack and/or mozza that really holds together when partially melted, but this cheddar still really worked in the taste department. The Gahan House is a brewpub that serves pub food and it originated in Charlottetown, PEI in March of 1997. The Gahan House has locations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. When visiting Alma, New Brunswick, I think most people would expect to find some epic seafood rather than pub food like nachos. Alas, The Muddy Rudder is one of our favorite restaurants to visit before or after hiking at Fundy National Park. I must say that we do not go to Alma enough! It was time to re-visit their nachos in 2024 as it had been three years already. Where did the time go? Were the nachos as good as last time? It is always a treat seeing Gordon Ramsay in action whether it be reality television cooking shows or freaking out over some hot wings on Hot Ones . I must say that I am a fan. There was an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where he ordered nachos and he talked about the importance of layering your nachos. I definitely agree!  Quality The chips were crunchy blue corn chips. This was another time in Boston where we had queso for cheese instead of a shredded cheese blend. It was also not really a sharp cheese. The beef was tender and tasty. I

This was my first time visiting Boston since I was a kid. That was long before I fell in love with these chips and cheese combinations. People have asked me if I had one of those big pretzels, pizza, or anything other than nachos on this trip. The truth is that we, as usual, mostly ate nachos on this wonderful long weekend in Boston at the beginning of the summer of 2024.
