La Carnita has three locations in the Toronto area, and we visited the one on 106 John Street in the downtown area. After visiting Gordon Ramsay Burger, I think it was only fitting to visit Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar which is located right next to the Boston Common. Here is a link to the website for this place. Distribution of Toppings
The distribution of toppings was perfect as every chip was loaded with lots of cheese. I think a lot of places can learn from them.
Quality
The quality was out of this world! There were real corn chips, tasty BBQ pork, and everything was so cheesy (traditional cheese blend) and creamy with a generous amount of queso and sour cream. The jalapeños, cilantro, and pico de gallo at the top really hit the spot. There's something about cilantro that can really make the taste pop.
Quantity
These nachos are great to share for a meal.
Value
The Trash Can Nachos are $18. If you want pork, it is $5 extra. These are in USD, so converted to CAD in August 2024 the price would be $31.58. It's in a very touristy part of Boston - I believe this restaurant is very close to the finish line for the Boston Marathon - and these were the best nachos we had on our trip, hands down. Well worth it.
Conclusion
These guys outdid all the others we tried in Boston! They were cheesy, loaded with fresh flavorful toppings, good value, good quantity, and just wow! I hope to have these after finishing the Boston Marathon someday... hopefully soon.
