Pickle Jar is located inside the Hilton in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After the Fredericton Marathon , I really wanted to just sit for the rest of the day and it was nice to watch some sports and drink some pop. Not even diet pop, but a good old regular pop. We stayed there for quite a while until it was supper time, and so we decided to have some nachos. Post-marathon nachos are the best!

The distribution of toppings was about average. There was mostly something for every chip.
Quality
The nachos had chicken but the pieces were so small that it was barely detectable. The kettle chips were nice, crispy, and salty. There was some excellent house made hot sauce offered which was also a huge plus. In addition, the dill dipping sauce was delicious. I like when places differentiate their nachos a little bit by offering unique dips. It seems like there has been a trend of nachos not having a good toast factor but at this place, the toast factor was excellent and it was perfectly cooked through.
Quantity
These are sufficient to share as a meal.
Value
The kettle chip nachos are $23. If you add chicken it is $6 extra. If you add guacamole, it is $4 extra. They are a little pricey, but after all it is the Hilton in downtown Fredericton.
Service
I think STMR.36 has some competition in terms of great service! The server talked to us for a long time and it felt like we were friends. It was refreshing, especially since I was so tired from running and just wanted to eat, drink pop, and watch soccer.
Conclusion
It's hard to review these nachos properly because we had the Snooty Fox earlier that day and the Snooty Fox was very much on its game in terms of the quality. That's a hard act to follow. However, I thought the service was great and the overall quality of the nachos was pretty good. They hit the spot.
